PastPaths Licence¶
PastPaths is proprietary software distributed free of charge. You may use the software freely for personal use, but the source code is not publicly available.

What the licence means in practice¶
You may:
- Install and use PastPaths on your computer
- Back up your data
- Share exported GEDCOM files with others
You may not:
- Copy or redistribute the software
- Modify or decompile the software
- Use the software for commercial purposes without written permission
Your data¶
All data you enter into PastPaths belongs to you. The software makes no claim to your content.
Third-party components¶
PastPaths is built with open-source components. A complete list of these along with their respective licences can be found in the file THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.md in the software's installation folder.
Maps in PastPaths use OpenStreetMap data, licensed under the ODbL.
